Great Queen Street, London
The existing club (the legendary “Blitz” of the ‘80’s) had been gutted by fire and the site required extensive structural alteration and refurbishment over an approximate area of 400 sqm on basement, ground and first floor. Both ground floor bar and first floor lounge areas are long and narrow with low ceilings, therefore lighting was a critical factor in accentuating the sense of space. The ground floor bar is illuminated from below by fibre optic cables with a subtle glow. The glass stair provides a central feature and a transition to the more relaxed ambience of the first floor bar and VIP area.
